In December 2006, Radiology Varad installed its first high resolution computed scanner.  With this CT scanner, we are able to produce images of the internal body.  These images are produced by x-ray beams obtained while the scanner detectors rotate around the patient.  These same images are then processed by a computer where the technologist can reconstruct the body images for the radiologist’s interpretation.
