Dr. Suzanne Fontaine is a graduate of L’Université de Montréal in Medicine and in Diagnostic Radiology. She has completed her studies with a Fellowship in Neuroradiology at the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital, and advanced studies in the United States and Europe. She is currently a Clinical University Professor for the Department of Radiology at L’Université de Montréal. She has obtained an expertise in magnetic resonance imaging concentrating on the brain and the spinal cord and medulla. She is a pioneer in transcranial doppler ultrasonography, which she has been practicing and teaching since 1987. Dr. Fontaine’s interest lies in the field of vascular and metabolic diseases of the central nervous system including diseases of the vertebral column. She is a very active researcher: having published more than 40 scientific articles and given lectures on a national and international basis. |
